During the initial rollout of the MK. 18 Mod. 0 CQBR, the operators tasked with using these carbines in theater were once again required to engage in field ingenuity to meet their needs.  Their solution to the requirement for a robust, accurate, and simple backup rear iron sight to complement their growing suite of optics was a simple one: chop down the detachable carry handle/rear sight from their M4s to create the now iconic Mk. 18 Mod. 0 rear sight.

These rear sights are made in the same fashion, from actual surplus carry handles, by hand.  Condition and appearance will vary.  Not all have military inventory tags, and not all tags are complete.  These are surplus condition and will have wear, grime, and other forms of cosmetic wear/defects on them.
